Honor Magic 2 unveiling may take place on October 26
Towards the end of August at IFA 2018, the successor to the original Honor Magic was teased by the company but no official unveiling date was announced. Today, this changes, as a new poster has just surfaced online suggesting that the smartphone will be unveiled entirely on October 26.

The smartphone, which will unsurprisingly be called the Magic 2, will introduce a new all-screen design that simply includes a small bezel towards the bottom of the panel. Elsewhere, the bezels are essentially non-existent. This is achieved thanks to a new sliding mechanism that allows the front-facing camera to pop out from the top of the device, mimicking the design of the Oppo Find X

Aside from the design of the device, the Honor Magic 2 also incorporates some impressive features and specs such as a new in-display fingerprint scanner. Moreover, much like Huawei’s upcoming Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, the new Magic 2 will be powered by the Kirin 980 processor which is based on the 7-nanometer process. Also, completing the package is said to be Huawei’s latest fast-charge technology that is expected to provide up to 40W of power.

Presently, it’s unclear how much the new smartphone will cost but reports have pointed towards a price tag of around $600. This does seem pretty low considering the amount of technology the smartphone incorporates, but it would coincide with Honor’s typical pricing strategy.
