Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of absorbing the vibrant cultures of Fukuoka and Tokyo while participating in the Salzburg Global Seminar's Project Acceleration Workshop for the Japan-India Transformative Technology Network, supported by The Nippon Foundation. It was a great reconnecting with inspiring fellows and friends from India and Japan. The workshop has been a affirmation of the immense value in diversity and multiplicity of disciplines. My entrepreneur friend and ally, Kaede and I were privileged to be one of the nine teams invited to the seminar to continue building our intervention aimed at positively impacting beekeepers and pollination across rural and forest areas. We're thrilled about the progress we've made and are eager to roll out the next steps. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible organizing team—Ian, Charles, Madhumitha, Edlira, Kateryna, Faye and Katarzyna, for this opportunity! Meeting with Tsujimoto San and Ayako San, attending the Earth Day Tokyo at Yoyogi Park, visit to EUSO's rooftop beekeeping and learning from Tanaka San, the pioneer of urban beekeeping at Ginpachi (Ginza), were delightful experiences. A special thanks to Satoko San, Toshihiro San and ARUN team for orchestrating these visits. And lastly, witnessing the Sakura season (or whatever was left of it) was a bliss! 🌸🇯🇵🇮🇳

Throwback to our unforgettable #Fellowship event in #Seoul, Korea 🌟 It was great to see familiar faces who had been a part of our programs for years and make new friends at the reception we hosted with #KFAS, the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, at their beautiful headquarters.

#China and #Africa are two emerging regions increasingly playing a significant role on the global stage. As their relationship has deepened both economically and politically, China has emerged as sub-Saharan Africa’s largest individual country trading partner, according to the International Monetary Fund. On the sidelines of the Salzburg Global #PathwaystoPeace Initiative "Crossing New Rivers by Feeling the Stones? Aspirations, Expectations, and China's Role in the 21st Century”, Dr. Margaret Pearson and Dr. Shirley Yu contributed their insights on the evolution of the China-Africa relationship. Follow the link below to read how the relationship between China and African countries has evolved into mutual dependence 👇 https://ow.ly/iyiO50RqOh0

Closing the gap disadvantaging women’s health and well-being as they age is closely aligned with our mission of achieving #equitable, coordinated care for older Californians. Toward that end, we were excited to sponsor and participate in the Salzburg Global Seminar on "Women as They Age: Addressing the Next Inequity Frontier." Organized by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation and its operating arm, Women’s Health Activist Movement Global, 45 global leaders in several fields – from health care and public health to academia and advocacy – gathered for an immersive program to confront the profound inequities women face as they age. Fellow sponsors included: Blue Shield of California Foundation, Cambia Health Foundation, The Conrad Prebys Foundation, the Elsie H. Hillman Foundation, The Heinz Family Foundation, and The John A. Hartford Foundation. Read more in our latest #PointofView blog by Laura Rath and Nancy Zionts:
