Below are some suggested themes for you to base your presentation and abstract on:

  • Stories of change, stories of practice 
  • Making a difference (stories of influence and change)
  • Unity and Strength
  • Critical theory (challenging assumptions)

- Innovation in: 

  • STEM
  • Migrant and Refugee support and provision
  • Infant and toddler
  • Bicultural/kaupapa Maori
  • Pacific
  • Other “cutting edge” innovation

- Teaching practices

- Leadership

- Curriculum design

- Supporting tamariki to be lifelong learners

- Intentional teaching

- Philosophical teaching

- Digital technology curriculum and teaching


ABSTRACTS

Please:

  • Keep your abstract/s brief (no more than 150 words for each abstract)
  • Keep your title short (e.g. ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’)
  • Remember that conference delegates select (and evaluate) what they attend based on the
    quality of the abstracts
  • Provide a short biography for each presenter (no more than 100 words)
  • Ensure you fill in all required fields – such as audio visual requirements, all authors’ details,
    and your correct contact details.

PRESENTATION TYPE

There are two types of presentation to select from:

60 minute interactive workshop

A practical hands on experience that delegates can use in their daily mahi with learners e.g. Participants can go away with something they have designed like a pathway for aspiring leaders.

60 minute presentation

Based on a recent publication, postgraduate research, journal article or as a requirement for academic work.
