Cbus supporting MATES in Construction
Story
Cbus is fortunate to play a role in the construction and building industry, and we are committed to supporting the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of workers in the industry.
We partner with MATES in Construction to help reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers.
We’re asking you to donate to Team Cbus as our very own Cbus Coordinator, Steve Gaske embarks on an epic journey of walking the Kokoda Trek this September, raising money to fund suicide prevention programs by MATES in Construction.
Remember: Donations are tax deductible, so get in now to cash in on the good karma while Steve gets busy training for his trek!
Thanks so much for your support!
MATES in Construction (AUST) Ltd
Every dollar counts toward helping MATES do the job of suicide prevention in our industry!
MATES in Construction is a for the industry, by the industry, not for profit that exists to strengthen the construction, mining and energy industries by preventing suicide; because a life saved is one less family grieving, one less site devastated and one less community heartbroken.
MATES is an evidence-based program that reduces stigma and promotes mentally healthier workplaces through training and support. MATES Field Officers deliver training to sites and keep in contact if anyone is in need, while MATES Support is available 24/7 to workers and their families who may be doing it tough.
For more information about MATES head to www.mates.org.au.
If you or your mate is struggling, talk to a Connector or call the MATES 24/7 Helpline on 1300 642 111.
