Sujoy Roychowdhury is a Group Manager and Senior Data Scientist in IBM's Cognitive Business Decision Services (CBDS) practice. His specialization is in Machine Learning, Natural Language,Processing, Recommendation Systems, Distributed Machine Learning , Deep Learning, Signal Processing and Geo-spatial Analytics. He was the Chief Data Scientist on IBM’s largest commercial AI implementations till date.

Sujoy has a degree in Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Quantitative Methods and a 15-year experience in Analytics, Data Science and Machine Learning. He is currentlypursuing my PhD. in Signal Processing (Machine learning applications) from Jadavpur University.

He has been a visiting / guest faculty on Analytics at 4 IIMs , has 9 international conference publications and 2 Harvard Business Case Studies. Of the international conference publications above, he won the best paper award in the DCAL conference in 2015 co-hosted by IIMB and IISC. Sujoy has also participated as guest speaker in analytical conferences in India.
