Join the 2021 Sustainable Living Course in Duncraig for a journey towards more regenerative living in your world, community, environment, garden, and household.

Presented by Kath Moller of Duncraig Edible Garden.

Connect with people in your community who also want to live more Sustainably.

Learn practical ways to make a healthier lifestyle with a lighter ecological footprint. 

Location: St Nicolas Anglican Church Hall,
1 Poynter Drive, Duncraig (Cnr Beach Rd)

This interactive, down-to-earth course runs over 7 sessions
Thursday afternoons: 12.30-2.30 pm 5th August to 9th September,
and an outing or two (at times to be decided in the first session)
Cost:  $10 per session, total $70 
($5 per session, total $35 for St Nic's members,
and for people with a concession card
)

Permaculture Principles provide helpful strategies.
We will think Global, act Local, looking at Water, Energy, Waste, Transport, Community, Gardening for food, Biodiversity, Healthy Home, Healthy You and Simple Living.


The Sustainable Living course will run on Thursday afternoons
12.30 to 2.30pm to finish each session before school pickup time.

The first week, 5th August will be an overview of the course and
an introduction to Permaculture

12th August we will "think Global", looking at Water and
Biodiversity, with "The Native Gardener" as a guest speaker,
focussing on plants native to this area, rainfall and soil type.

19th August the focus will be on "acting locally," Looking at
Waste, Transport and Energy including another guest speaker.

26th August we will look closer to home, gardening for food and
growing community. Rev Lorna will be speaking to us during this
session.

2nd September focusing on family and individual health, we will
talk about Healthy homes and have a hands on session making
cleaners and other fun alternatives to commercial products. Amelia
from the Wasteless Pantry in Greenwood will talk to us this week.

9th September we will talk about Simple Living, summarise the
course, and be sent out into action.

On the first week we will also agree on a time that suits all
participants for an outing to see sustainable living examples. I
will conduct a tour of Duncraig Edible Garden, and people will be
invited to visit our house and garden in Greenwood.
