Youth most vulnerable to psychiatric disorders: IAPP President

Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Indian Association of Private Psychiatry (IAPP) President MS Reddy on Wednesday said Youth in the age group of 15-25 years are most vulnerable to psychiatric disorders and talking to friends and family is the first line of help they can seek.
"It is imperative that we talk about these issues and do away with the stigma that comes with it," said while speaking at the panel discussion on 'to Break the Silence on Mental Health in India' organised by Indian School of Business (ISB) here on account of World Mental Health Day.
The panel discussion was moderated by Swati Desai , LCSW, Psychotherapy and meditation with renowned speakers including M.S. Reddy, President and Ali Khwaja, Chairman and Principal Faculty, Banjara Academy, held with students, faculty and mental health experts to discuss the issue of mental health in India and how the youth can tackle with the rising issues of depression, stress, anxiety and other mental disorders.
